Moroccan airports after summer 2026: can service quality match record peaks?

Heavy summer traffic tested several Moroccan airports in 2026. According to Airports of Morocco, Casablanca Mohammed V handled 46,439 passengers in one day during an early-August peak, while Marrakech Menara exceeded 30,000 passengers on a single day.

Passenger volume is only one measure

Peak figures show strong demand, but say little on their own about queues, baggage handling or accessibility. Dakhla and Tetouan recorded peak-day increases of 45.2% and 36.14%. Those are comparisons of busy days, not annual traffic growth rates.

The next test is the journey itself

The Airports 2030 strategy envisages expanded capacity, upgraded infrastructure and digital services. For travellers, success will mean reliable operations and a smoother end-to-end experience, especially during holiday surges.
