Morocco AI 2030: ambitious targets, but what will citizens gain?

Morocco’s AI 2030 roadmap, presented in Rabat in September, sets three targets for 2030: 100 billion dirhams in added economic value, 50,000 direct and indirect jobs, and training or certification for 200,000 people. These are stated goals, not outcomes already delivered.
From research to public services
The programme includes the JAZARI institute network and tools intended for government services. Idarati AI was presented as an assistant for administrative procedures. Its usefulness will depend on whether it reduces complexity, works accurately across languages and protects personal data.
Skills will determine the reach
Small businesses, students and local administrations need access, practical training and support. Beyond headline targets, progress should be measured through real jobs, service quality and whether rural communities share in the benefits.
